Primary Battery
Yaitu battery yang setelah satu kali dipakai tidak dapat dipakai lagi atau tidak dapat di “recharge”
Secondary Battery
Yaitu battery yang setelah dipakai dapat dipakai lagi atau dapat di “recharge”
Jenis-jenis Battery:

- Nickel cadmium (polusi & karsinogenik, harga bahan baku sedang)
- Nickel metalhydride (bahan baku mahal)

- Zinc carbon (harga bahan baku sedang, teknologi masih mahal, masih tahap awal percobaan)
